How to make money from home.

Here are some more of the common SEO Scams:

A Thousand Search Engines
Some companies will promise you that they will get you ranked in thousands of search engines. This is a waste of time and money. Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. account for almost all the search traffic. You need to focus your energies on these sites, not some obscure search engine at a third rate university that gets only 60 search requests a month. Also, there’s no point in being ranked in the middle or the bottom of thousands of search engines when you only need a solid ranking in several major ones to boost traffic by two or three fold.

Address Bar Keywords
Some companies will try to sell you a keyword that visitors can simply type into their browser’s address window and they’ll be magically transported to your website. Stay away from these companies. Either the visitor has to download special browser plug-ins to use this feature, or worse, they are connected to a spyware/malware operation.

Shadow Domains
Some SEO companies use what is known as “shadow domains” to send users to your site using redirects from sites owned by the SEO company. While the strategy works, it has one major pitfall. If you terminate your relationship with the SEO company, they may turn around and redirect the shadow domain to your competitor’s site or a site that serves up pornography.

Protect Yourself
If you’re sure an SEO company is for you, be sure that they give you a full and unconditionally money-back guarantee in writing. If you’re unsatisfied for any reason or if the SEO’s actions cause you to be blacklisted from a search engine, request a refund. If they don’t want to give you one, contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). They are the agency that handles fraudulent business practices. Their website is located at http://www.ftc.gov.
